AidCamps International is a registered charity that offers the opportunity to participate in short term voluntary aid projects overseas in conjunction with local non-governmental organisations in the developing world.
The Start
AidCamps were looking to improve their existing website which had been developed in-house - the existing site lacked the capability to be updated easily and had become difficult for users to navigate.
As the primary source of volunteers and donations the AidCamps.org website was critical to the charity.
As a charity AidCamps are always looking to keep operating costs as low as possible, as a result the trustees and team work remotely - distributed around the country. Part of the brief was to design and provide tools and processes to improve the organisation
of this remote working.
The Result
Using
White Cobalt's Content Management System we produced a clear and easy to use website. AidCamps.org provides information on upcoming projects and the charity as a whole - all of which is editable by AidCamps without White Cobalt's involvement. Gives volunteers
a method to sign up to future projects and processes donations - on behalf of the charity or an individual volunteer.
Behind the scenes the Content Management System includes a secure "Document Centre" - providing a central repository for documents the AidCamps team regularly share, along with donation and user reports.
The final element of the solution is provided by
Nuntius Ferrum - White Cobalt's email marketing tool; sending out a regular newsletter on AidCamps behalf to their subscribers.
On going
We continue to work with AidCamps today. Every piece of technology we provide is specifically designed right from the start to be flexible - this has allowed us to add and improve the solution quickly as the charity grows.
